The
York YMCA is a branch of the Upper Palmetto YMCA association.
Membership includes use of three conveniently located facilities:
York, Clover, and Chester. The York YMCA is committed to providing
quality membership services and a variety of programs and classes
for all ages. Healthy spirit, mind and body are built within
a Christian environment.
Programs available include aerobics,
yoga, karate, dance, arthritis aquatics, after school, child
watch, and summer day camp. Exercise equipment includes treadmills,
stair climbers, bicycles, elliptical trainers, Nautilus and
Magnum weight machines, and free weights.

In
addition, the Chester branch has a gymnasium for basketball,
volleyball and other programs, locker rooms and a teen room.
The Clover branch offers weight equipment, cardiovascular equipment, locker rooms,
and free child watch. Members may upgrade to a regional membership for use of
all six of the association's branches. Visit any of the locations for a personal
tour. |

Guidelines:
To qualify for any category, members must reside at the same address and pay monthly dues from one bank account.
The Adult category is designed to accommodate all ages who wish to add additional adults or dependents to their membership.
The age of the individual completing the first page of the application is responsible for the payment and determines the age category.
In addition to the monthly dues there is a one time joining fee. If a lapse in membership occurs, all or a portion of the joining fee may be collected to initiate the new membership.

Regional Memberships Available.
Covers York, Clover, Chester, Gold Hill, and Rock Hill.
Memberships can be paid annually in full or on a monthly bank draft.
Bank drafts are processed on the first of each month. The bank draft
can be canceled at any time by submitting a written cancellation form
no later than 10 days before the end of the month. The form is available
from the YMCA during business hours.
The York YMCA uses a sliding scale to aid those in needing
financial assistance. Those needing help or desiring to provide
funds for scholarships should contact Jeff
Dickson of the York
YMCA. No one is denied membership to the YMCA due to financial
need. |
