We have a new name and face! For nearly 100 years, the Upper Palmetto YMCA has built strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Today, the tradition continues. The association serves children and adults in York, Chester and Lancaster counties and beyond.

The Upper Palmetto YMCA continually strives to meet its mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

2 for 1 Joining Fee

Bring a friend to the YMCA and you and your friend can share the joining fee! You pay $25 and your friend pays $25 for the joining fee.

Annual Campaign: Opening Doors

Opening Doors is an annual volunteer fundraising campaign to assist people in our community in their time of need.

At the YMCA, no one who qualifies is turned away due to their inability to pay because we believe in helping all people lead healthier, happier lives. Whether someone’s hardship arises from a layoff, an illness or other financial challenges, the YMCA strives to assist anyone in need of our programs and fellowship.

While many of our programs serve children, Opening Doors supports individuals and families of all ages.

Community Partners

No Joining Fee for Armed Forces
The YMCA is now offering a discount on membership and “no joining fee” to those who are currently enlisted in any of our armed services. See membership page for details.
